A very muddy weekend was enjoyed by all who attended the now annual Not a Moot weekend away at Strike a Light Campsite in the Myall River State Forest, just past Bulahdelah on July 31/August 1. Normanhurst would like the thank Crews from Turramurra, Kissing Point, Epping, Berowra (they heard it was free), Brush Park and Mt Colah for a fun and safe weekend.
Navigation and orienteering skills being a slight disadvantage for many a Rover who attended, making a three hour drive take on average six. Demanding activities on the camp included sleeping in, a spit roast, four-wheel driving and trail bike riding. The fiercely contested Saturday night spit-off proved Turramurra to emerge victorious and an honourable mention going to Kissing Point with a masterchef masterpiece of a curry. However, Tom ‘Dickman’ Hickman from Mt Colah took the overall prize as the Not a Moot winner with a valiant effort to claim the title with a memorable three at once approach to the competition. We’re all looking forward to Mt Colah hosting another great weekend next year.
Normanhurst would also like to advise Berowra to invest in a ‘If you can read this I’ve lost my trailer’ sticker to remind them to bring everything home with them next time.
Thanks for a fun and safe weekend,
The Not a Moot Gods
